Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty Comes to Auburn
Group Links Region’s Farmers, Wineries & Restaurants
Cayuga County, New York. –June 3, 2008 – Culinary tourism is a hot, new niche in cultural travel that blends food, beverages (particularly wine) and travel into a unique visitor experience that holds huge potential for development in the Finger Lakes tourism industry. Simply put, food and beverage are attractions just like a museum or an amusement park and thus can be marketed as a product that helps differentiate businesses, regions, and individual destinations.
Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty is an organization that has been working for years to promote culinary tourism by linking the region’s restaurants, farmers, wineries and small-scale food processors to provide residents and visitors with “fresh, locally produced, creative cuisine, borne in the Finger Lakes.”
Cayuga County restaurants and providers of local food and beverage products are invited to attend a FREE informational meeting to learn more about the Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty program.
